Yogis: Ever wish you could tell your phone when to take a photo?
I made an app for that.
I got inspired after starting an online yoga teacher training earlier this year. Virtual yoga training is convenient in 2020, but it comes with its fair share of challenges. One is not having a teacher physically present to correct alignment as you practice.
If you’ve ever tried to fumble with a self timer and rush into a yoga pose within 10 seconds or so, you have felt my pain. Photos can be so helpful for reviewing your own alignment. They’re also great for getting feedback from peers and teachers. The difficulty (and comedy) of making this happen with a phone timer is how I ended up with a passion project: an app that lets you take yoga pose selfies using your voice.
By the way, it also has a feature for easily logging required home practice hours during YTT.
Hope some other virtual yogis find it useful during these times! ❤ Namaste.

I also made a tutorial video about a neat hack for doing this with your iPhone (without my app). My app is better, though. :)
